
These in-school programs are designed to supplement the history/social studies and science curricula or act as a pre-visit activity for Lowell trips. The programs are highly participatory and are conducted in your classroom.

Fees per class of up to 30 students: $110 for first school program; $85 for successive same-day programs.

Farm to Factory - Grades 3-5 (90-minute program) Students pick, card, spin, and weave wool on small looms and engage in role-playing that dramatizes changes accompanying America's shift from farms to factories. Slide Show |
| Exploring the Immigrant Experience - Grades 4-6 (90-minute program) Students examine the experiences of many of the ethnic groups that settled in Lowell using oral histories and artifacts. | |

Voices of Change - Grades 4-12 (45-minute program) Students meet a costumed character from the Lowell mills. Using artifacts and role play, students learn about industrial life and debate whether to sign a petition for a ten-hour work day. Slide Show |
