Classroom by the Concord



Description

Grades 5-8

The Concord River Greenway serves as a living laboratory where students investigate a former industrial site that has been reclaimed as an urban nature sanctuary and recreational trail.  In the role of scientists, students

• Collect river water samples and perform water quality tests.

• Simulate ways human actions have changed the ecosystem.

• Interpret historical maps.

• Investigate how human activity has contributed to the disappearance of migratory fish.


Scheduling and Reservations

Guided School Program Fees: $195

(Note: Schools must arrange to keep buses in Lowell for use during the program.)
