Educational Background

Wayne Sanborn graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and is a NESHTA Board Certified Environmental, Safety and Health Trainer (CET) in the areas of Management & Transportation of Hazardous Materials & Waste and Occupational Safety and Health.

Bio Sketch

Wayne Sanborn is The New England Consortium’s Project Director of Training. When it comes to chemical knowledge, he wrote the book. Sanborn came to TNEC with 30 plus years of experience in the manufacturing, environmental control and chemical engineering fields. Sanborn brings first hand experience of managing hazardous materials, from research and development to the manufacturing process. For over twenty years, Sanborn was employed at Matheson Gas Products in Gloucester, MA, where he was responsible for operations, engineering, and environmental health and safety issues. In addition to his well-established professional career, Sanborn was recognized by the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute (SEMI) with a “SEMMY) award in the area of materials, and has co-authored several papers for various trade journals.

Wayne and his wife Ingrid, spend their summers counting eagles from the porch of their 'off the grid' home on Cape Breton, Canada.
