(905-2) OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Health and Safety Training plus 4-Hour Green Industry Mazmat TrainingCourse Name: (905-2) OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Health and Safety Training plus 4-Hour Green Industry Hazmat Training CEU=1.4
The (905) course emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. That training is based on various topics in OSHA’s 1926 Construction Industry Regulations. In particular, OSHA requirements address issues such as physical hazards (e.g., fall protection, confined spaces, trenching, use of tools), and chemical exposure hazards. The content of the additional four hours of training presented in this combined course usually are mutually agreed to between TNEC and its client, depending on the specific needs of the latter’s workers. Typically, the agreed to topics can provide the worker with an understanding of and the skills necessary to suspect the presence of hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead-based paint and solvents, identify the hazards associated with these materials and notify proper authorities. Special emphasis can be placed on awareness of state and federal regulations relative to working safely around lead based paints and asbestos and at what levels licensed contractors and workers with additional training are required. In this combined course the subjects of fall protection and fall arrest usually are dealt with in more depth than is the case in the basic (905) course. Other topics pertinent to the needs of the client’s workers can be included. | |
