BOY’S BASKETBALL
UMass Lowell Boys’ Basketball Skills Clinics

The clinic focuses on every aspect of improving skills, from high octane 5 on 5 games, to free throw competitions, to guest lectures.

GIRL’S BASKETBALL
UMass Lowell Girls’ Basketball Day Camp

Campers will learn skills, such as passing, catching, ball handling, rebounding and shooting, which will be reinforced in daily drill station instruction and video analysis.

BASEBALL
Merrimack Valley Baseball School

UMass Lowell offers two separate weeks of River Hawk baseball camp, stressing hard work, individual and team play.

SOFTBALL ACADEMY

Three softball clinics concentrate on the fundamentals of the game, team play and constant improvement while placing strong emphasis on good sportsmanship and a positive approach to the game.

ICE HOCKEY
Blaise MacDonald’s River Hawk Hockey School

“On Ice” sessions are devoted to improving the camper’s skating, stick handling, passing, shooting, checking and team play skills. “Off Ice” time will introduce campers to basic conditioning exercises and will include video analysis of skating sessions.

FIELD HOCKEY
River Hawk Field Hockey Clinics and Summer League

Improve individual stick skill, passing techniques, shooting and defensive tactics. The Summer League session will include plyometrics, sprinting, field hockey drills, and scrimmaging.

SOCCER
River Hawk Soccer Camp for Boys & Girls

An experienced staff, including professional soccer players, collegiate coaches and members of the UML soccer team, will provide instruction on all aspects of the game.

VOLLEYBALL
Kross Kourt Volleyball Clinic and Wednesday Night Clinic

Daily instruction includes skill development through progressive combination drills, as well as tactics and strategy in team offensive and defensive systems.

SUMMER BAND CAMP

This is a musically intense program for students interested in classes such as conducting, midi, the history of rock and roll, score analysis, and music theory. The camp includes ensembles such as concert band and flute and clarinet choirs.

DESIGNCAMP

UMass Lowell's DESIGNCAMP is a summer science and engineering enrichment program that offers a wide range of project-based workshops for students in grades 5 - 11.

If you like to invent, do experiments, build things, and figure out how things work, then this is the place for you!

TSONGAS INDUSTRIAL HISTORY CENTER

National Parks Adventures

Visit four National Parks in Massachusetts and explore America’s story. Meet a Revolutionary War soldier at Minute Man National Historical Park, ferry to Boston Harbor Islands, explore the Arnold Arboretum, and navigate Lowell’s canal system at Lowell National Historical Park.

Boott Camp

Come build and test your own canal system, weave cloth on a four-harness loom, explore the historic Boott Mills, visit an operating factory weave room, ride a trolley, take a boat trip on the Merrimack River. Explore the roots of the American Industrial Revolution!

Wonders of Water

Come to explore the properties of water and water chemistry. Build a canal system, become an inventor, take a boat trip on the Merrimack River onboard a National Park Service boat and see how the river was used for fishing, transportation and power.

World Wide Water Web

The theme is environmental science but the focus is on fun! Explore water pollution and its effects on the web of life. Expect lots of “up-to-your-elbows” activities, projects and general messing around with water. And don‘t forget the fish!!! It’s science with a touch of “pizzazz!”
