Printer Friendly1. Where does the Evening Shuttle go?
We will pick you up at any of our stops (Fox, UML North bus stop, UML South bus stop, Sheehy, Riverview, brew lot, all parking lots) - just flash your lights and we'll pick you up - Gallagher Train station after 11 p.m. Mon through Fri. and after 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. We will drop you off at any of these locations, as well as the Tsongas Arena, Wannalancit Mill university offices, graduate housing, or any other on-campus location. WE DO NOT GO OFF CAMPUS, with the exception of Gallagher.
2. During what hours does the Escort Service operate?
We are open between 6 p.m. and 1 a.m. everyday that the University is open, including weekends and the night before classes begin after vacations. Our last round begins at 12:45 a.m. and the vans are off the road by 1 a.m. most nights. So, if you need a ride make sure you are at one of our stops prior to 12:45 a.m.
3. Can I call for a ride?
The Evening Shuttle Services operates on a continual service schedule; we do not operate a call-in system as we have found continual service to be more consistent and reliable for students. If you have any suggestions for improved service please do not hesitate to email Escort_Services@uml.edu or Deanof_Students@uml.edu, speak with the vehicle drivers, or call x2222 and leave a message.
4. What if I've been drinking?
Use the Evening Shuttle Service! We are an easy way to find a designated driver and much better than driving yourself. Our job is to help the students of UML stay safe in their travels, so before you drive back to your dorm from a party, wait at one of our stops and we'll be there shortly.
5. How many vans do you run each night?
We try to run two vans every night, but on slower nights, we sometimes only have one. However, the more people who use the service each night, the more vans we'll run, and the shorter the wait times will become!
