Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) 

Live! Learn! Lead!

LEAD offers various programs and events throughout the year for new and experienced leaders, as well as students who want to get involved for the first time.

Our programs include a Fall Student Leadership Retreat, Emerging Leaders Conference, and monthly Student Leader Networking Dinners.

Our Student Leader Network dinners will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The spring 2009 dates are:

  • February 11 (Cumnock Hall)
  • March 11  (Alumni Hall)
  • April 15  (Alumni Hall)

Student Leader of the Month

The Student Leader of the Month is an individual who acts in ways that strengthen our campus community at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He or she has been an active participant in processes and activities that benefit the student body as a whole. This person’s behavior reflects awareness of his or her individual leadership style, and the impact of that behavior the larger community. Furthermore, this person encourages peers to get involved at the university.

Nominations for the September Student Leader of the Month are due on the third Monday of every moth. 

Winners will be featured in the UMass Lowell Connector and other university publications.
