The following is a list of national organizations that offer student membership but faculty serve as the officers.

Alpha Kappa Delta - Sociology Honors Society

Recognizes those students who have shown outstanding effort and reward them for their accomplishments.

Advisor: Kristin Esterberg

Alpha Lambda Delta - Freshman Honor Society

Recognizes and promotes academic excellence during a student's first year of college. The Freshman Honor Society strives to encourage and support high academic achievement among all students. Open to freshmen who earn a 3.5 GPA after their first semester or year of full-time study.

Beta Gamma Sigma - Business Administration Honors Society

Encourages and rewards scholarship accomplishment, promotes the advancement of education in business and fosters integrity in the conduct of business activities.

Advisor: Sherre_Strickland

Criminal Justice National Honor Society

Membership requires sophomore standing (40 credits) with a GPA minimum of 3.0 and a major average of 3.2.

Chi Epsilon - Civil Engineering Honor Society
Maintains and promotes the honorable characteristics of integrity, ethics, and practicality in the civil engineer. This organization is restricted to civil engineering students who are then selected based upon GPA.

Eta Kappa Nu - Electrical Engineering Honor Society

Recognizes those students who have shown outstanding achievement in the electrical engineering curriculum.

Gamma Kappa Alpha - Italian Honor Society

For Italian major or minor students who have shown scholarship qualities and knowledge of Italian culture. Membership requires junior or senior standing and a 3.25 GPA in Italian courses.

Omega Chi Epsilon - Chemical Engineering Honor Society

Promotes high scholarship, encourages original investigation in chemical engineering, and recognizes the traits of character, integrity and leadership. Activities include career guidance to high school students and tutorial services to chemical engineering students.

Pi Lambda Theta - Education Honors Society

Membership requires a 3.5 or higher grade point average.

Pi Mu Epsilon - Mathematics Honors Society

Excellence in mathematics and excellence in general college work are membership requirements.

Pi Tau Sigma - Mechanical Engineering Honor Society

Assists the Mechanical Engineering Department as needed. New members are recruited (by letter) from the top one-third of the mechanical engineering students. Activities include contributing to a tutoring program, social activities and assisting faculty.

Psi Chi - Psychology National Honor Society

Promotes academic excellence in the field of psychology. Membership requires a B average in psychology and placement in the top 35% of the class overall. The club sponsors a Career Day in the spring for all students interested in psychology and related areas.

Sigma Gamma Epsilon - National Earth Science Honorary Society

Membership requirements include 12 or more credits in earth science with a GPA of 3.0 or greater and an overall GPA of 2.67 or better.

Sigma Iota Epsilon - National Honorary and Professional Management Society

Encourages and recognizes scholastic excellence and promotes cooperation between the academic and practical aspects of management.

Sigma Pi Sigma - National Physics Honor Society

Membership requires a 3.0 GPA in physics.

Sigma Theta Tau , Eta Omega Chapter - Honor Society of Nursing

Restricted to nursing undergraduate and graduate students.
