ImmunizationsMassachusetts State Law Chapter 76, Section 15C, also known as the College Immunization Law mandated since 1986, requires all full-time students regardless of major, to provide a medical certificate of immunization against measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus and diphtheria. Additionally, all students enrolled in health sciences programs - full and part-time - must provide proof of immunization.As of September 2004, all undergraduate students, regardless of major, must also have the Hepatitis B series. Beginning September 2005, all graduate students, regardless of major, must have the Hepatitis B series. The month, day and year must be given for all immunizations. As of May 2007, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has mandated that all newly enrolled full-time residential college students receive one of the Meningococcal vaccines or sign the Department of Public Health's waiver form. No newly enrolled (freshman or transfer) student can move into a Residence Hall without having the Meningococcal vaccine or signing a waiver form. Download Immunization Record Form The College Immunization Law requires that students failing to file immunization records be suspended until the requirement is completed. Medical and religious exemptions are allowed but must be appropriately documented.
