Employers' Frequently Asked Questions1. What can you tell me about UMass Lowell students? Through our partnership with Experience Inc., you can post as many jobs as you like online at no cost through eRecruiting. Current students and alumni have access to eRecruiting, and frequently use it to research companies, apply for positions, and schedule on-campus interviews online. If you are already part of the eRecruiting network, simply log in to eRecruiting as usual and request access to UMass Lowell's system online. If you are not already part of the eRecruiting network and would like to post opportunities and schedule interviews with UMass Lowell students, please call our office at 978-934-2355 to open your UMass Lowell eRecruiting account. 5. What information should I include in my posting? 6. Do students ever look for internships, co-ops, or summer/part-time jobs? Yes! The process for posting an internship is identical to the process for posting a full-time/permanent position. 7. How can I advertise high-priority positions to students? Let us know that a position is “high priority” and we will do our best to advertise the opening to students via e-mail, our Web site, and faculty contacts. 8. Can I conduct on-campus interviews? Absolutely! eRecruiting gives you the hands-on involvement in setting up and managing your on-campus recruiting schedule. You can select the students that you would like to interview, and we will assist you in the scheduling process. Some organizations choose to hold a reception or information session on the evening preceding their interviewing visit; please call our office if that’s something that we can arrange for you. 9. If I can’t get on campus, can I still collect student resumes? Yes, eRecruiting gives you the option of setting up a virtual “resume drop box” for the purpose of collecting resumes. 10. How many times a year do you have career fairs? We have several career fairs throughout the year; all are advertised on our Web site. If your company is linked to our online eRecruiting system, the primary contact at your organization will receive an email invitation to register. In addition, we sponsor a variety of career-related events and programs throughout the year (e.g., practice interview days, resume critique marathons, career panels). If you would ever like to co-sponsor such an event, or actively participate, please contact us! 11. How do I get started? Contact Claire Hall at 978-934-2355 and let her know that you are interested in recruiting UMass Lowell students and/or alumni.
