Changes to Night & Weekend Service coming March 15
We will be making some changes to our Night and Weekend Service post Spring Break.
- To enable more consistent and predictable Red Line service, the Train Station and Downtown request stops will be serviced exclusively by the Orange Line. Riders from South Campus should allow extra travel time to account for a transfer at University Crossing. Service to the Train Station is provided as a courtesy to the campus community. To ensure a smooth trip, we recommend allowing up to one hour of travel time prior to your train's scheduled departure time.
- To alleviate confusion between the Red Line and the Red/Orange Line, the combination Red/Orange Line will now be renamed Purple Line. The Purple Line will operate Saturday mornings, Sundays, and as needed. Purple Line will follow the Red Line fixed route and can service all request stops.
- When there are River Hawk Games at the Tsongas, "Rowdy's Red Line" will now be adding a new stop to it's route at the corner of Suffolk St. and Perkins St. This new stop, "Tsongas Suffolk St." will replace request service to the main door of the Tsongas.
