Prior to UMass Lowell, Ginny was a career/academic counselor and coordinated Cooperative Education at Northern Essex Community College.  She also directed the Womenís Network, a support program for non-traditional students, and organized the semi-annual Women Returning to School Fairs.  Ginny brings 25 years of teaching experience in both higher education and business.  Before entering higher education, Ginny worked in Human Resources as the Training Director at Jordan Marsh where she conducted group and individual training sessions for managers and sales associates.  This experience led her to a lifelong career in teaching, cooperative education and career counseling.

Virginia (Ginny) is a career services professional with extensive experience advising and teaching diverse student populations in higher education.  Her expertise includes coordinating career & co-op programs, developing and facilitating career workshops, directing support programs for non-traditional students, interpreting vocational assessments, and collaborating with faculty, staff and employers.  Ginny is a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Æ(MBTIÆ) Certified Practitioner who works with individuals and facilitates group workshops.  Her passion is helping students discover and develop their strengths, skills, and interests for a satisfying and successful career.
