UMass Lowell Police Officer Exam


The UMass Lowell Police Department has scheduled a police officer exam to be given on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2006 at 8:30am in OLNEY HALL (OH) Room 150. A valid photo ID is required the day of the exam.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

To register for the exam and to apply for employment, send a letter of interest along with a copy of your resume and a $40 money order to the UMass Lowell Police Department, or you may contact the Office of the Chief of Police directly, which is located in the Engineering Building, Room 118, UML North, University of Massachusetts Lowell, Lowell, Ma. 01854.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate, ability to work a varied work schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays; U.S. Citizen, 21 years of age or older, must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a Massachusetts Class A LTC Firearms license.

Qualified applicants must successfully pass a selection and screening process that includes an entry level written and oral exam, a medical/drug screening, psychological and a background investigation.

Salary range: $35,166.56 to $47,479.64.
