American Public Health Association
APHA is an Association of individuals and organizations working to improve the public's health and to achieve equality in health status for all. The Association promotes the scientific and professional foundation of public health practice and policy, advocates the conditions for a healthy global society, emphasizes prevention and enhances the ability of members to promote and protect environmental and community health. The site includes news items, links, job postings, reviews of new books and media, and information on continuing education.

European Agency for Safety and Health at Work: Health Care Sector
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work provides information on safety and health for the health care sector of Europe, including legislation, regulation, good safety and health practice, research statistics and publications. Their goal is to bring together the region's resources and expertise to create a safer and healthier working environment in Europe. An online network provides links to other occupational safety and health websites in several different languages.


Greater Boston Center for Healthy Communities
Formerly the Massachusetts Prevention Center, The Greater Boston Center for Healthy Communities serves the communities of Boston, Brookline, Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop. They provide assistance with community health planning and evaluation, and access to resources such as books and educational materials, many available in different languages.


Health Care For All
Health Care for All is an organization dedicated to making adequate and affordable health care accessible to everyone, regardless of income, social or economic status. They provide information for individuals about low-cost and free health care, and are partnered with other organizations providing legal services, community advocacy and public policy training and education.

Health Resources and Services Administration
HRSA is a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services whose mission is to eliminate health disparities and to improve and expand access to quality health care for all.


Jobs With Justice
JWJ's mission is to work to improve working peoples' standard of living, fight for job security and protect workers' rights to organize. They are a network of local coalitions that connect labor, faith-based, community and student organizations that work together for economic and social justice.

MassCOSH
MassCOSH brings together workers, unions, community groups, and health, safety and environmental activists to organize and advocate for safe, secure jobs and healthy communities throughout eastern and central Massachusetts. Through training, technical assistance and building community/labor alliances, MassCOSH mobilizes its members and develops leaders in the movement to end unsafe work conditions.

Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development
The Department of Labor and Workforce Development is the state agency in Massachusetts responsible for overseeing the Commonwealth's workforce development system, for protecting the health and safety of Massachusetts workers, for ensuring the efficient delivery of workers compensation services, for supervision of the unemployment insurance program, and for providing dispute resolution services in various arenas.

Massachusetts Department of Public Health
The mission of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health is to serve all the people in the Commonwealth, particularly the underserved, and to promote healthy people, healthy families, healthy communities and healthy environments through compassionate care, education and prevention.

Massachusetts Extended Care Federation
The Massachusetts Extended Care Federation (MECF) is the state’s largest long term care provider association, representing more than 500 nursing and residential care facilities, hospital-based transitional care units, assisted living residences and retirement communities. In all, MECF member facilities provide housing, continuing care, health care and support services to more than 50,000 people in Massachusetts.

Massachusetts Hospital Association
The Massachusetts Hospital Association (MHA) is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization comprised of hospitals and health systems, related organizations, and other members with a common interest in promoting the health of the people of the Commonwealth. Through leadership in public advocacy, education, and information, MHA represents and advocates for the collective interests of its member hospitals and health systems, and supports their efforts to provide high quality, cost effective, and accessible care.  

MNA
The Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) is the largest professional health care membership organization in Massachusetts. Its 20,000 members advance the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the economic and general welfare of nurses in the workplace, and by lobbying the legislature and regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the public.

Massachusetts Partnership for Healthy Communities
The Massachusetts Partnership for Healthy Communities works with communities, organizations and funding sources to support, develop and sustain healthier and safer communities by increasing collaboration among health departments and

OSHA
Occupational Safetyand Health Administration is a division of the U.S. Department of Labor. Their mission is to assure the safety and health of America's workers by setting and enforcing standards; providing training, outreach, and education; establishing partnerships; and encouraging continual improvements in workplace safety and health.

Safer Medical Device Implementation in Health Care Facilities
Health care facilities share their experiences on how they implemented safer medical devices to protect workers from needlestick and other sharps injuries.

SEIU Local 2020
Service Employees International Union, Local 2020 is a statewide union of nursing home, home care, health center and allied health workers. Their mission is to improve the lives of working people and their families and promote a just and humane society.

The Massachusetts Public Health Association
The Massachusetts Public Health Association is a statewide membership organization which seeks to improve health status through education, advocacy, and coalition building. MPHA educates its members, the public health community, and the general public on health-related issues and promotes action to address public health concerns.

The Paraprofessional Healthcare Institute
