Conference Description
The conference "Worker Health and Safety in Healthcare: Learning from the Past, Best Practices for the Future" included panel presentations on best practices in health and safety programs and on workplace ergonomics. Study results from the Promoting Health and Safe Employment (PHASE) in Healthcare research projects were presented. There was a choice of interactive breakout sessions on topics including violence in the workplace, returning to work after injury, workplace diversity, best practices for health and safety in both acute and chronic care settings, preventing needlestick injury, occupational asthma and stress.
