More than 30 nano researchers at UMass Lowell already have made exciting scientific breakthroughs in:

1. Prototyping several products, including a cantilevered-beam nanomechanical sensor;
2. Development of low loss, wide-band and high-gain patch antenna designs using novel electromagnetic metamaterials;
3. Stable nanoemulsions for transdermal delivery of a wide variety of pharmaceuticals; and
4. Coextruded, nanolayered films.
