Two continuous-flow bench-scale reactors (one of them was control) were built up to study the impact of the shock loading of CNTs (Carbon Nanotubes) on the activated sludge wastewater treatment process. Negative impact of CNTs on the process was observed as indicated by worse sludge dewaterability and settleability and higher effluent TSS.
