Denise Dunlap and Lani Faith Gacula from the Manning School of Business invite you to attend a new symposium on Sept. 12 that supports NIH grant, Center for Accelerating Practices to End Suicide (CAPES), research on the impacts of new technologies on mental health and well-being.

All students, faculty, staff and local businesses are invited to attend to this Interdisciplinary Research Symposium to learn about the latest research on mental health. The theme of this year's symposium is: "Friend or Foe: Transforming Social Media and Al for a Healthy Future.”

The goal of the symposium is to expand our understanding about the evolving relationship between technology and mental health by discussing innovative solutions, exploring ethical considerations, and promoting mental health advocacy. Research participants will present posters from UMass Lowell, UMass Chan Medical School, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, business innovators and more.

The event will be in the lobby of University Crossing from 2 to 4 p.m. Please stop by any time during the event. We hope you will join us for impactful conversations, refreshments, and raffles such as wellness gift baskets donated from our local community.
