Our seniors have been preparing their year-long capstone projects which include immersive projections, web design, virtual reality, poster design, sculptural installation, wood working, pamphlets, and app development. Their content addresses contemporary issues such as sustainability, entrepreneurial endeavors, pop culture, enrichment for hospitalized pediatric patients, social justice, self-discovery & care, historical appreciation, acne stigma, language learning, and cultural celebration. Our 17 Graphic Design BFA Candidates hail from Greater Boston, Chester, Brookline, Melrose, Haverhill, Lowell, Newburyport, Newton, Rochdale, Salem, Somerville, Weymouth, Westford, Wilmington, and Salem, N.H.

The Art and Design Capstone is a year-long process in which students are encouraged to explore new materials, investigate diverse concepts, and cultivate new ideas. Through exploration, experimentation, collaboration, and critique, concepts become reality in the form of definitive bodies of work. The Art and Design faculty help cultivate a personal growth mentality for the designer that fosters the conceptual development of projects, empowering students to create a personal vision and bring it into their post college practice.
