Xiaobai (Bob) Li is a professor of information systems. His research focuses on data mining, information privacy and information economics. He has received funding for his research from National Institute of Health (NIH) and National Science Foundation (NSF). He has published in Information Systems Research, Operations Research, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Communications of the ACM, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, among others.
Professor Li has taught database management, programming languages, decision support systems, and other MIS courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Prior to joining UMass Lowell, Professor Li taught at the University of Texas at Dallas. In addition, he had worked in industry for 10 years as an engineer, an analyst and a manager.
