All students adequately met or exceeded performance expectations. However, the external evaluators felt that a greater degree of professionalism needed to be added to the presentations. The following actions were taken:
1. Individual presentations and written executive summaries will be evaluated next semester.
2. Instructors will add more content to their courses addressing the persuasive argument. This curriculum change will result in a cap stone final project, which is an individual oral presentation, and an executive summary to be presented to a panel of external evaluators. |
The Assurance of Learning Committee (ALC) will reevaluate this objective in fall 2009 in Professional Communications and Strategic Management and then again in spring 2010 in Strategic Management.
External evaluators used in fall 2009:
Ms. Martina Witts of UML and Mr. Kevin Perry of Loomis Sayles on November 18, 2009, for Strategic Management. |
