As a clinical microbiologist, Asst. Prof. Goodyear is interested in the molecular characterization of clinically significant pathogens, including mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance. In addition, she is interested in how laboratory errors can be identified and prevented in the clinical microbiology laboratory.
Asst. Prof. Goodyear was born and raised in Pennsylvania however she came here after 11 years in Seattle, Wash. In my spare time, she sings in a choir, ride horses, and is looking forward to planting a garden next summer.
