The prolific works of more than 20 members of the University’s faculty are on display in four new exhibits.
“We’re excited to showcase the excellent work of our faculty in new exhibits in both O’Leary and Lydon libraries,” says Michele Gagnon, exhibit curator, who credits Library Director Pat Noreau for the idea of the faculty exhibit.
“Faculty members from a wide variety of disciplines including Nursing, Computer Engineering, Physical Therapy, Plastics, History, Cultural Studies, Psychology, RESD, TNEC and English have translated, edited or written books from 2007 through 2009,” says Gagnon, who created the exhibit’s title, “Scholars Rock!” The exhibit is presented in a rock ’n’ roll style designed to attract and engage students.
“It’s very impressive to see the quantity of works displayed together – it really gives a sense of the important work happening all around our campus,” she says.
The Scholars Rock exhibits will be installed at O’Leary and Lydon Libraries in mid-November, and will be on display through May 2010. The exhibits will be free and open to the public during library hours.
