Educational Background

B.S. in Accounting from Bentley College; MBA from Boston College; J.D. from Suffolk University Law School; L.L.M in Taxation from the Graduate Tax Program at Boston University Law School.

Scholarly Interests

Professor Wall is a senior researcher and member of the Finance Unit at Harvard Business School, where he has authored or co-authored course materials and cases for graduate courses in taxation and business ethics. He is also a member of the graduate Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University developing and teaching a graduate course in taxation. 

He has written a number of accounting, tax and legal articles and cases that have appeared in The Massachusetts CPA Review, The Massachusetts and Ohio Lawyer, The Boston Business Journal, Banker & Tradesman, American Management Association, and The Boston Globe. He was also the Associate Editor of The Massachusetts CPA Review.

He has also prepared materials and taught courses for CPAs, attorneys, and several professional organizations including American Management Association, The Massachusetts Bar Association, The Massachusetts Society of CPAs, Massachusetts Continuing legal Education, and various CPA and CFP review programs.

Bio Sketch

Kevin F. Wall is a visiting instructor in the COM, where he teaches courses in financial accounting, cost management systems and taxation. His interests include accounting, tax, management and legal issues as they relate to a diverse group of businesses, non-profit organizations and tax shelters as well as succession planning and executive compensation including stock options. 

Professor Wall has also been a faculty member teaching accounting, tax, and law courses at several undergraduate, graduate, and law school programs including Bentley College, Northeastern University, Boston University, and Suffolk University Law School.

He has more than 30 years of business experience in public accounting and law firms as well as industry and the public sector. Most recently he has been a member of the Tax Department of Ernst & Young LLP. His previous industry and public sector experience includes serving as Controller and CFO of a large publicly traded company and a major revenue bond authority. He is a CPA and attorney and has practiced in various federal and state courts.
