The Hall of Fame Alumni Reception during which three new members will be enshrined into the UML Athletic Hall of Fame: former baseball standout Jon Cahill (1998-01); former men’s soccer standout Brandon Curran; and track and field star Jill (Croft) Paige (1998-02).

The UMass Lowell Athletic Department Awards Night. Evening recognizes the athletic, academic and humanitarian efforts of the 2007-08 year. UML student-athletes will be admitted free while admission for parents and guests will be $20 per person. Current UML student Jilly Martin, a country music singer and native of Chelmsford, will perform live.
The UML Art Department and the College of Arts and Sciences, division of Fine Arts, present the Spring 2008 BFA Candidates Exhibition from May 22-31. This biannual exhibition showcases the senior projects from the Art & Design studios and features a variety of media including advertising campaigns, animation, painting, photography, product design, sculpture and time-based media.

This year all undergraduate and graduate degree candidates will have their names announced and they will process across the stage to receive their diplomas. Individual college receptions with light refreshments will follow.
The Friends of Shedd Park is holding its 3rd Annual "Cotillion at the Pavilion - Dancing with the Lowell Stars." The evening will be filled with dancing, live music, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, and wine tasting with Signature Imports. Also scheduled is a ballroom dancing exhibition with UML Ballroom Dance Club, as well as, "Dancing with the Lowell Stars," a homespun version of the hit TV show, featuring Mayor Bud Caulfield, Nancy Donahue, Karen Bell, Jimmy O'Donnell, and Connie & Larry Martin. Tickets are $40 per person. Proceeds from this event will be used to further enhance community recreational opportunities at Shedd Park.
