One of the goals of M2D2 is to provide jobs and economic development for Massachusetts and the region. This is accomplished by helping early-stage companies and individual Entrepreneurs succeed and grow.
Recently, M2D2 has opened incubation space for early-stage companies and Entrepreneurs in Wannalancit Mills with additional laboratory space across the street in the IPI building.
Some of the advantages business incubators receive include
inexpensive office and shared lab space, wet lab space, as well as network communications. Their location within the university community provides efficient and effective collaboration with University departments, faculty and students.
The office incubation space at the M2D2 in the Wannalancit Mills complex at 600 Suffolk Street, Lowell, MA consists of
- Six individual offices.
- Bright shared kitchen space with full size refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave with tables for sitting.
- Duplication machine.
- One large state of the art conference room with 46” Aquos LCD screen as well as full pull down screen, computer and web access and a projector.
- One small conference room with the capacity to hold 6 people or less. This conference room also contains a 46-in. Aquos LCD screen, as well as computer and web access and a projector.
