Printer FriendlyIn March 2007, the campus launched its daily email announcement and intranet page, UML Today.
UML Today, which is only accessible to University employees and students, includes campus news and announcements, as well as links to a variety of services.
Under this system, announcements are submitted via an online form for review and then will be posted on UML Today. A list of the UML Today announcements is sent via e-mail daily with links to the Intranet page for the complete announcements. In addition to campus notices in several categories, the enhanced intranet page includes campus news, weather and calendar information.
What You Need to Know
- To alert the campus to events and happenings, you must submit a form online.
- Announcements will be distributed once a day at noon via a single e-mail.
- Complete announcements will be on UML Today, the new, secure Intranet site, and will be archived for two weeks.
- Announcements to be included in that day’s e-mail must be received by 8 a.m.; any messages received later will be included in the following day’s e-mail.
- Emergency announcements will be allowed at the discretion of the executive director of communications. Contact the Public Affairs Office at ext. 3224 to outline the request.
- Announcements requested by students must be submitted by an appropriate faculty or staff member.
- Policies and FAQs about announcements and the Intranet are available online.
