Configuration Instructions for OS X 10.5 (pdf format)

Please note that we have found some users running 10.5 that have configured their card properly and are still unable to connect.  The Network Services team is aware of this and are working with users individually on this problem. Please call the Help Desk (ext 4357) and put in a ticket if you need assistance.  Thank you.

Apple OS X 10.3 (Panther) or 10.4 (Tiger) users

The following instructions have been tested with the Apple Airport and Airport Extreme wireless cards:

Click on ‘802.1X’, choose your ‘Configuration’ and click on ‘Connect’.  You will not be prompted again for security certificate acceptance.  Please note that you CANNOT connect by simply selecting the uml-student or uml-admin choice from the main Airport menu.  To connect, you must use the ‘802.1X’ configuration within the ‘Internet Connect’ utility.

For those users who already know how to set up their wireless, here is the certificate. Note: You must be on campus to download this file and it is a WinZip file.
