Making the Windows XP your Default Wireless Management Utility
Step 1: Under windows click the Start Button and go to Control Panel. Then click on the Network Connections icon. Right mouse click on your Wireless Connections and then click on Properties.
At this point you will see either Figure A or Figure B, both shown below.

Notice that in Figure A there are only two tabs, while in Figure B there are three. The missing tab in figure A is the Wireless Networks tab. This tab is not present in Figure A because the computer in Figure A does the have the Wireless Zero service turned on.
Step 2: If your computer resembles Figure B then Wireless Zero is already enabled and you may skip to step 8, otherwise go to step 3.
Step 3: Minimize all windows and click the Start button, then click Run, and type in Services.msc and click OK.

Step 4: This will bring you to a list of services that you may choose to run on your computer. Scroll down to Wireless Zero and right click on it and choose Properties.

Step 5: Once in the properties box click on Startup Type and choose Automatic.

Step 6: Close out of the properties box by clicking the OK Button and right click on the Wireless Zero Configuration line in the services window and click Start.

Step 7: Close out of the Services window and go back to the Wireless Network Connection Properties box (See Step 1 if you don't remember how to get there).
Step 8: Click on the Wireless Networks tab.

Step 9: Make sure that the checkbox "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" is in fact checked, if it is not then check it.
Step 10: Close out of all open windows by clicking OK, and then the X button on the rest and the windows utility should now be changed to your default.
