
Wireless networking allows you to connect your laptop or other wireless device to the UMass Lowell wireless network.
Our ever-expanding, secure wireless network provides mobility to faculty and students. Read your email, surf the Web or search the library beyond the confines of a classroom or dorm.
All devices connecting to the University wireless network must meet the following standards.
- The wireless network interface cards (NICs) may be 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g capable.
- The wireless device must be capable of WPA / TKIP authentication.
- The wireless device must be capable of 802.1x EAP/PEAP with MSCHAPv2 encryption.
Any user connecting to the UML network must abide by the policies set forth by the University of Massachusetts.
