IT Governance
IT has established a governance structure so that we can effectively manage the major applications and supporting third party systems. IT will facilitate multi-directional communications on issues, ideas, questions, and future technology planning. An overview of the active workgroup and committees are available in the following documents.
Web Steering Committee
UMass Lowell will develop a quality website that provides excellent design and current content allowing allowing its constituents access to information and University services via the Internet.
Hardware/Software Committee
The committee, made up of representatives from a variety of colleges and administrative offices, will make recommendations to senior management on future software licensing purchases and hardware configurations. The goals of this committee are important to ensure all technology needs for the campus are reviewed and a common direction for upgrades and software licenses are identified.
