Identity Management

Identity Management (IdM) is a solution to manage security for many central and campus applications.   A successful implementation of IdM will allow end-users to access all major applications - e*mpac HR/FIN, ISIS, email, VPN, reporting environments, wireless access and eventually a portal - by signing on one time. 

The IdM project will take at least a year to fully implement, although there will be interim milestones which will be achieved throughout the project.     

Milestones

Fall 2007	All bids have been submitted and evaluated and vendor finalists have been selected.
Spring 2006	The Identity Management (IdM) team defined the business and technical requirements for the system and for each of the UMass campuses.
