Printer FriendlyA number of universities across the country have taken the approach to provide a high performance computing cluster for Principal Investigators. Making this technology available up front for PIs allows them to indicate it in their grant writing. The goal is to have the cluster be self-sustaining through the grants. A workgroup will identify the needs and requirements of researchers on campus; develop a set of procedures related to usage and scheduling; identify funding strategies to sustain the environment.
