Attention Students:

Responding to increased concerns about security issues of all kinds on University campuses nationwide, UMass Lowell is initiating a process to require students to provide and/or verify Emergency Contact Information on a regular basis. This information will be used to contact designated individuals in the event of an emergency involving you as a student on campus.

When you first log into ISIS for any reason this semester, you will notice an entry in Your Holds Summary indicating Emergency Contact Verification. This “Hold” will prevent all Registration/Add/Drop/Swap a Class activity until you take action to verify your Emergency Contact Information. You will be able to release this hold yourself through ISIS by clicking on the hold and following the instructions. You are encouraged to be proactive and verify this information BEFORE you actually need to register for classes or use Add/Drop/Swap a Class functionality in ISIS.

Note:  Students who register without being admitted are not required to provide any emergency contact information at the time of registration.

>>Access the job aid to help you update your emergency contact information

Students are also encouraged to enroll in the University's new Emergency Communications System to receive text, voice and/or email messages about campus closures, outages, emergencies, etc.

>>Sign up for the Emergency Communications System

Self Service Enhancements:

Recent updates have been made to ISIS to improve usability. The following is a highlight of these updates.

Student Self-Service

  • The Dartmouth/Lowell Degree Progress Report and Boston Degree Progress Report links have been consolidated into a single View Degree Progress Report link
  • The View Assignments link was removed as this is not used by the campus
  • View My Midterm Grades has been added to the Academic section to reflect new services offered by UML
 Faculty Self-Service
  • A pop up window as well as email notification will confirm when a grade roster has been submitted
  • The New/Drop-In Advisees search now allows for a first name and last name search
  • Under both View Advisee Information and New/Drop-In Advisees there are two new options for faculty to view and send email to their advisees and can also view and service indicators (holds) -- Faculty with access to remove holds will be able to do so from this screen.
    >>Access the job aid on using the email advisee functionalty

ISIS Survey 2008:

You now have a chance to participate in the 2008 survey and provide the campus with feedback on the ISIS application.
