General Summary (Purpose) of Position
The College of Management at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking a new faculty member in the field of Marketing to engage in mission-related teaching, research and outreach activities.  The primary fields of specialization should be New Product Development and Entrepreneurial Marketing. Additional preferred fields of interest and expertise should be some combination of Marketing Communications, B2B Marketing, and E-marketing. 

The College's mission is closely tied to the mission of the University, which is to become a model of how a public university can facilitate sustainable economic and business development in its region.  The University offers innovative graduate and undergraduate educational programs, strongly facilitates the attainment of external funding for research and promotes partnership activities with business, K-12 schools, non-profit organizations and community groups.  Faculty members are strongly encouraged to engage in mission-related professional activities and regularly earn teaching load reductions for the publication of high quality research.  The College of Management has over 1500 MBA and undergraduate students.  Classes are taught both in traditional classroom settings and over the Internet.  Ample opportunities are available to become involved in mission-related instructional activities and develop outreach partnerships with other units of the University.  Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.  The position is contingent upon funding.

Minimum Qualifications
• Earned Doctorate in appropriate field from an AACSB-accredited business school.
• Demonstrated ability teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Commitment to develop and sustain an externally funded research program
• Demonstrated potential for mission-related publications in scholarly journals.
• Demonstrated ability working with a diverse student and faculty population.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Industrial or corporate experience is desirable.
