Description:

General Summary (Purpose) of Position
The University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for one tenure track position in the area of Forensic Science – Analytical Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry.  This position will enhance an interdisciplinary forensic program at the undergraduate level and assist in the continuing development of a B.S. in Chemistry – Forensic Science Option.

Teaching obligations include both undergraduate and graduate level courses; particularly developing forensic courses that compliment the program.  The successful candidate will develop an active, high quality, funded research program in the area of forensic-analytical chemistry.

Review of applications will continue until position is filled.  While preference given to applicants having credentials commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor, applicants with more extensive experience will be considered at a higher rank.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Earned Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry as applied to Forensic Science
• Commitment to develop and sustain an externally funded research program.
• Demonstrated potential for publications in scholarly journals.
• Demonstrated ability working with diverse student and faculty population.
