Information for Faculty
All faculty have access to log-in to HR Direct to perform self-service functions such as viewing your bi-weekly pay advice, updating tax withholding, viewing & updating contact information, and updating emergency contact details.
Faculty do not have access to update time via HR Direct self-service. Faculty should report any exceptions in time via a timesheet. This timesheet should be submitted to your chairperson for approval.
Some faculty have employees who require time approval via HR Direct. Faculty managers should be approving employee time in HR Direct if your direct reports are hourly students and temporary employees; mid-management & non-unit professionals; or any clerical & technical staff.
NOTE: All student time must be approved on-line or it will not be paid.
The system deadline for managers to approve time is Monday at 11:59 p.m. of the critical payroll week. The Payroll Schedule
