Student Employee Time Reporting Self-Service Information:All student employees can currently access HR Direct using the student email account credentials. In the spring, UMass Lowell plans to rollout self-service time reporting to all student hourly employees (Not TA's/RA's/GA's). Exact date is not yet determined. To prepare for this, all departments are encouraged to thoughtfully identify the 'supervisor' when completing contracts for the spring. That supervisor will be responsible for approving the student employee time online. UMass Lowell is greatly reducing paper consumption with HR Direct as a result of self-service time reporting. We are already consuming at least 1000 less sheets per week or 52,000 per year!
Employees can do even more if you stop receiving a paper Pay Advice. These are available 24/7 online, so please take action to reduce your paper consumption by e-mailing hr@uml.edu and tell us that "you don't need our advice".
