  More About Confidential Personal Counseling
LifeScope provides confidential in-person assessment and short-term counseling by local professionals for any issue that causes concern. There is no cost for up to three sessions per concern whether you are faculty, staff, household member of a UMass Lowell employee or immediate family member of a UMass Lowell employee. Ninety-nine percent of referrals are made to mental health professionals who take your insurance. This allows you to continue to work with this clinician after the third visit and to use your health plan to cover all or part of the fees for additional visits. The EAP clinician may also assist you by providing additional resources and referrals to meet your needs.
