Students in the Honors Program enjoy the following benefits:

  • Individualized instruction in small groups, often in seminar format.
  • Opportunities for undergraduate research.
  • Special "Commonwealth Honors Program Scholar" designation on transcripts and diplomas upon completion of program requirements.
  • Opportunity to live in Eames Hall, our Honors House on North Campus.
  • Honors Program social events.

Special Features of the Honors Program

Scholarship Opportunities: The Honors Endowment Fund provides a limited number of merit-based financial awards to students in the Honors Program. More information and application forms are available online.

Senior Research Grants: The Honors Program offers grants of up to $500 for materials and/or activities-related to a student's senior project or thesis.

Participation in Specialty Organizations:  Students can join one of the many honor societies organized by major/discipline of study.

Career Opportunities Honors Program participants can become involved with a variety of internships, summer jobs, and study-abroad programs.
