Give to the Honors ProgramHonors Fellows FundraiserThursday, Oct. 16, 2008 The University community will gather at the Honors Fellows Fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 16, to recognize and celebrate retired faculty and staff who have made significant contributions to the legacy of undergraduate scholarship. The event, which supports the Honors Endowment, raised $100,000 last year and was the largest one-day fundraiser ever held on campus. This year’s Honors Fellows are:
Loung Ung, a nationally known Cambodian-American human-rights activist, author and national spokesperson for the Campaign for a Landmine-Free World, will also be honored as the first Community Fellow. Tickets are $150 per person, and $250 per couple. RSVP by Oct. 9. The Honors Endowment helps subsidize extracurricular events, such as cultural trips and speakers’ engagements, as well as research support and student scholarships.
