Master of Science

Students interested in a technical degree can enroll in one of our 36 credit Master of Science (MS) degrees in Work Environment specializing in the following program areas:

In addition, it is possible to have a dual degree in both programs through a 39 credit option.

Admission Requirements for Master of Science

  • Prerequisite of a BA or BS degree with an overall GPA of at least 3.0 
  • Minimum of one semester with a grade of C or better on all required technical courses:
    • Math (statistics recommended)
    • Biology (anatomy and/or physiology recommended)
    • Physics 
    • Chemistry (for Occupational and Environmental Hygiene)
  • GRE scores required of all applicants. Waivable with a prior graduate degree. 
  • For international applicants, TOEFL scores of at least 79 (internet) or IELTS of at least 6.5
  • Statement of purpose
  • 3 letters of recommendation 

Master of Public Health

Students interested in a public health degree can enroll in one of the 42 credit Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees specializing in the following program areas.

Admission Requirements for Master of Public Health

  • Prerequisite of a BA or BS degree with an overall GPA of at least 3.0 
  • Minimum of one semester with a grade of C or better on all required technical courses:
    • Statistics
    • Biology or Anatomy and Physiology
  • GRE scores required of all applicants. Waivable with a prior graduate degree. 
  • For international applicants, TOEFL scores of at least 79 (internet)
  • Statement of purpose
  • 3 letters of recommendation

Financial Assistance

Students enrolled in Work Environment degree programs are eligible for our financial support through the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Training Project Grant (TPG).
