Faculty Assistant/Associate Professor (2)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Nursing or a related field (must have Ph.D. at the time of application)
  • Expertise in health promotion across the lifespan, gerontology, rehabilitation and/or mental health nursing areas of nursing research and practice.
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Strong track record in research and publication.
  • Evidence of ability to develop independent research program & secure extramural funding

  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching & scholarly activity

Faculty Part-time Position 

University of Massachusetts Lowell School of Nursing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • For the undergraduate teaching, a minimum requirement is the Master's degree in Nursing along with current professional practice in the specific specialty area; a Massachusetts RN license is mandatory 
  • For the Graduate NP teaching, applicants must possess an active RN/NP license in Massachusetts as well as national certification in a population-focused specialty area (ANCC, AANP). 
  • Current practice as an APN in the specialty area is needed
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse groups 

Other Considerations: 

  • Doctoral degree preferred 
  • Academic teaching experience at the university/college level is highly desirable

Because of our rapid growth, we currently have positions for lecturers as well as tenure track positions for assistant and research-intensive associate and full professors, including Director of the DNP/MS programs. We welcome applications from faculty with experience and expertise across the nursing specialties. Additionally, we are currently seeking a Diversity Scholar in Nursing, a funded 1-semester position for a visiting nursing faculty member, whose research and teaching interests are in cultural studies, promoting diversity in the healthcare workforce, and promoting health equity in diverse populations.
