The certificate prepares a professional to create a new technology-based business. In essence, the task is to learn how to take Intellectual Property and convert that knowledge into an investable business entity.
The certificate is designed for science, engineering or business master's-level students who have completed most of their formal studies and are approaching the time to put their career knowledge to work. It is also designed to provide career enhancing education as well as to place the certificate candidate into an actual start-up business that would serve as a future full-time position.

Finance: Cash Flow, Capitalization Tables, Venture Investment; IP/Legal: Basics of IP Law, Basics of Business Law;
Technology: Management of Technology, Technology Roadmaping; Marketing: Value Proposition, Distribution, Pricing; Sales: Product Sales, Joint Ventures & Negotiations; Strategy: Competitive and Market Intelligence, Management and Control

Develop Strategic, Financial, and Technical Roadmaps and Implementation Plans; Develop Operating Policies and Procedures; Identify Initial Customers/Projects;
