The use of plastics in medical products and medical devices is rapidly increasing. The Plastics Engineering Department at UMass Lowell is continuing its leadership role in Plastics Engineering Education by responding to industry's need for Medical Plastics training. This program will provide knowledge needed for the development of new "engineering intensive" medical products which combine complex material compositions, designs, and manufacturing processes. The certificate program is intended for medical professionals, engineers and technologists working in the medical products industry.
