Tina Boyd

Tina is participating in her third summer with Orientation and first summer as Student Coordinator.  She is part of the class of 2010 as a Civil and Environmental Engineering major from Dracut, MA.  Tina is also involved with Residence Life, The Society of Women Engineers, is a Tour Guide, and plays Intramurals.

Why did you choose UMass Lowell?

I chose UMass Lowell because I heard so many great things about the engineering program and I was invited to play Varsity Soccer here.  Yet, I stayed at UMass Lowell because I was getting the best education for my money and I fell in love with the people and friendly environment.  I met my best friends here and made memories for a life time.

What is your favorite thing about UMass Lowell?

The people here have made my experience complete.  Even as a natural introvert, it was easy to make true, long lasting friends.

What is your ideal Saturday?

I am always so busy that I would love to have a calm Saturday and be outside reading a book.
