Opportunities at UMass Lowell
Faculty Institutes - The Faculty Development Center organizes and delivers one-to-three-day Faculty Institutes in winter and summer. Faculty Institutes are mini-courses designed to enrich faculty in the areas of pedagogy, technology, and assessment to name a few.
Faculty Institutes will be offered again in January 2010 Registration information should be available by December 2009. Contact the Faculty Development Center at 978-934-2923 if you need training or have any questions.
Conversation Dinners - The Faculty Development Center is pleased to offer Conversation Dinners during the fall and spring semesters. These are a unique opportunity to unite faculty from all disciplines in interactive discussion and a dinner that focuses on at least one aspect of the integration of teaching, research and service. Fridays with Faculty - Started in January 2007, Fridays with Faculty are informal lunchtime meetings with quick take-aways on topics relevant to faculty teaching. Generally, these are held on the last Friday of each month during the fall and spring semesters. Previous Fridays with Faculty
