Department of Music

The Wind Ensemble, one of the top instrumental ensembles within the Department of Music, is comprised of juniors, seniors and graduate students.

Professor David Martins, Music Director of the Wind Ensemble since 1986 states "the Wind Ensemble mission is to educate the student members by performing a wide variety of challenging repertoire ranging from transcriptions for wind band to working with contemporary composers."

The wind ensemble has performed at the Massachusetts MENC All-State Music Convention, hosted a Continuum Concert with the Metropolitan Wind Symphony and Massachusetts Youth Wind Ensemble and has recorded music for Concert Band for the William Allen Music Company.
