Performance Groups

University ensembles are open to all students enrolled at the University. Auditions are required for all ensembles except for Marching Band, Pep Band and Choral Union.  Auditions for ensembles take place in September, within the first two to three days of school (see Dept. of Music posting, first floor, Durgin Hall). All students, music majors AND non-music majors alike audition for seating placement.  At this time auditions for the following non-major instruments are closed: guitar, electric bass, drumset.

Students should prepare a solo work (District/All-State level) when auditioning for classical ensembles. Something from the audition list (found under "Prospective Students", audition requirements) would also be appropriate.
