Economic & Social Development of Regions Masters Program

Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in the Economic and Social Development of Regions Program at UMass Lowell.

Our program is multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary, and includes students and faculty from a wide variety of academic backgrounds and disciplines. Our curriculum allows students the opportunity to study issues of economic and social development from a theoretical and practical perspective. Our program emphasizes issues of equity, social justice and economic, social and environmental sustainability. Our students and faculty actively engage with the concerns of the community at local, regional, national and international levels. Our program prepares students for doctoral study and/or careers in a multitude of fields.
